No mans land no lands man – a dance/ music/ video performance, world premier the 15th of October, 2009, was presented at the new performance platform Sergelstorg 3, Kulturhuset - Stockholm.
The street level location of the space and its’ large glass facade was utilized for the video work as well as the constantly moving and changing street life of Sergels torg.

Petter Jacobsson and Thomas Caley, the dance duo Scentrifug, creates a literal No mans land – no lands man when they freely strut out into aestheticisms’ great wilderness. Is this New York or Stockholm? It is “dancy”, installation like, amusing and inventive. The worn out concept ”research” seems brushed up with an alert grasp. Margareta Sörenson - Expressen 2009 - 10 - 17

With a light touch we explore the human condition at a time when we acted without consciousness, when our idea of self, or lack thereof, existed in a symbiotic and linear alertness of the now, breathing it in and letting it go. No mans land – no lands man lays in the undefined refined middle, simultaneously focused and unfocused, without history only geography - it is a hovering and peripheral experience rather than intense and ecstatic.
The video work for this piece is a VJ’d collage, an animated study of the energy and forces of human expressiveness. The dance and video collaborate light-heartedly to question and juxtapose our aesthetic norms.
The audio-visual frame of No mans land - no lands man is a product of our continued collaboration with composer - Mattias Petersson, photographer and lighting designer - Andreas Söderberg and film editor and VJ - Björn Eriksson. This, the fifth time we commission a score of Mattias is a continued process, one which has developed our dance and his music in interesting and unforeseen directions. Mattias plays live his intense, acoustic electronic score. Both Andreas and Björn have extensive backgrounds in the film and television industries objectively lending their innovative expressiveness to the theatre.

We do not learn; and what we call learning is only a process of recollection /Plato
